The Agricultural Economist invites contributions for its upcoming edition under the theme:

🎯 Rooted in Resilience: Indigenous Wisdom, Youth Energy, and Climate Action
This month’s theme draws inspiration from August’s global observances, International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (Aug 9), International Youth Day (Aug 12), and World Biofuel Day (Aug 10), to spotlight the intersection of agriculture, cultural heritage, youth innovation, and environmental sustainability.

We invite contributions that examine how indigenous knowledge, youth leadership, and climate-smart practices can transform agriculture into a force for inclusive growth, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience. Articles that explore community-driven solutions, gender equity, and agri-environmental policies are particularly welcome.

🌍 Suggested Topics (Aligned with Global Observances):

  • Reviving indigenous agricultural systems and biodiversity stewardship

  • Youth in agriculture: innovations, startups, and rural entrepreneurship

  • Biofuels, renewable energy, and climate-smart farming practices

  • Land rights, tenure security, and equity in land access

  • Agroforestry and reforestation for climate mitigation

  • Digital tools and platforms for farmers’ empowerment

  • Gender and intergenerational equity in agri-policy and practice

  • Community-based models for conservation and food sovereignty

We welcome research/review-based articles, policy briefs, case studies, and expert opinions relevant to these topics. Submissions should be insightful, data-driven, and offer practical recommendations for policymakers, researchers, and rural communities.
